Right now (and for the last eight weeks) I have had really bad tendinitis, too. Although that's now my worst injury. I would have to think quite a bit about what my worst one was, actually. Any tips on the tendinitis?
My doctor said to put ice packs on it, and to give it a rest, but not to totally stop using it, if you know what I mean.
hey there lzi! in my case, much of the tendinitis is caused by my natural bone structure (flat feet aren't meant to dance). So my achilles always hurt once I start dancing alot especially en pointe.
Advice: yes, ice. fill a garbage can with ice (enough to cover half your lower leg) and then fill the can with cold water. Dunk those suckers in for as long as you can (until them numb... probably no longer than 5 minutes), and then dunk them in hot water for 5 minutes. repeat 2-3 times. it kills, but it works. The best treatment I've ever gotten was deep tissue massages on my lower legs (calves). Extremely painful and may cause bruising, but totally completely worth it. =]
